U/S Pics... no it's not a boob....

We went for our monthly U/S baby grow/blood flow check yesterday.

Got a couple profile pics of Ava. Hard to get good ones since she's gettign so big! They estimate her to be about 5#'s 12oz! (YIKES)

This is the last U/S and visit with the perinatologist. I'm far enough along now, that they won't keep her from coming if something goes wonky with her big honking placenta (see pics). So they don't need to check on her anymore.

So here she is, and that big thing next to her face is her hugemoungus placenta. Tho it looks like a boob according to everyone who's already seen it. lol

Carpet Roomba

For Donna:

Sorry it's dark. The overhead light in J's room is out and SOMEONE hasn't put new bulbs in yet.

Roomba Snack Time

Kelli requested Roomba eat up some Cherrios or something. The first one, I threw some down in front and he just sucked them up on his way by. :) The 2nd one, I missed most of his getting them, but he noticed it was really dirty there, so his blue light came on and he did his circle dance in the area to get them all up. :)

TGIF

It's been a looooooooooooong and busy week here. I'm glad it's Friday. I have no-where I HAVE to go. I can stay home and work on the laundry and things. Pretty sad when I'm actually happy to stay home and do wash, huh?

Since we are slackers, we need to spend tonite wrapping up the christmas stuff. Unless we slack some more and then have to do it Sat. night. LOL You never know with us.

My Pregnancy ticker says I have 41 days left. 41... that's like, a bit over a month. ACK!

I Heart

my Roomba!!

I'm currently vaccuming upstairs while I sit here and check my email and surf my message boards. :)

It was cool watching it make a beeline for the steps on an apparent suicide mission, and then when it got near the edge, it quickly put on the brakes. lol

I've plugged the "home base" into the outlet under the Highboy. Wolfgang generally likes to hang out there too, but there's enough room for them both. He actually seems happy to share his spot. He even let the Roomba get thisclose to him while it was cleaning under the highboy before he got up. Then he walked toward it.I think he wants to attack the little side sweeper doo-dad. LOL

Did I mention that I HEART my Roomba?

Is it really too much to ask

that everyone just BEHAVES and leaves me alone today? Is it REALLY?

Anyone want a 6month old German Shepherd? Anyone? Just for a few hours. I'll take him back later tonite when it's bedtims and he's peacefully sleeping in his crate. :)

J and I had a nice outing. We dropped books off at the library. Went through the drive-by at the bank, where J got a regular and orange flavoered tootsie roll. She ate them both at the same time, declared it was good that way, and said she hadn't thoguht of "mixing up the flavors" like that before. Then we went to Menards to get a few things we needed. Stopped at Hu-Hot for lunch, and then went to Wal-Mart to pick up all the thigns we forgot to get on Tuesday.

It's freaking cold out, man. The wind is blowing, it's snowing and it's cloudy. I was oh-so glad to get home.

Now if the puppy will just find a toy and occupy himself for more than 3 seconds, and J will quit playing "loud music" for me with her tambourine and Maracas, I'll be ecstatic.

Happy Bunny Pharse

As seen on Heidi's Blog.

What "Happy Bunny" phrase are you?

you suck and that's sad

You are a very compassionate and sympathetic person. You use your divine sense of humor to cheer up a situation.

So it's like 7:30am and I'm ready for a nap. Tho maybe this early in the am, it's not so much a nap as it is going back to bed.

If you're looking for me, I'll be asleep. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ho-Ho-Ho

We went to the Mall yesterday and J wanted to see Santa. She happily sat on his lap and talked to him. She wasn't shy about HIM, she was shy about getting her pic taken. LOL

Silly Girl.

Puppies, Preschoolers & a Pregnant Momma

In the span of a few hours, our cute puppy has managed to completely destroy a Dora sippy cup, chew up the middle part of J's old potty seat and empty the bathroom trash and scatter it throughout the bathroom and down the hallway.

Cute Puppy is now enjoying a stay in our luxurious suite, complete with a smelly old sleeping bag for comfort and metal bars for his personal safety. :-D

At least I have about 3 years to search e-bay to find a replacement for the middle of this potty seat. I don't think Ava will appreciate bits of chewed up plastic jabbing her in the butt when she gets older.

I will admit it WAS rather funny when he came down here carrying the middle piece like he had found some new treasure. Well, it was funny for about 2 seconds until I got really PO'd. I mean, HOW does it occur to you to just take out a part of the potty seat and just start chewing on it? HOW is this a good toy?

At least I managed to take a shower today. I was considerign just skipping it, until J came down here and showed me how she painted her face with her watercolors. :-P

Naturally my dear hubby isn't going to be home until after suppertime tonite. It's always the days when there's no chance of him coming home early, that everyone decides to start acting like crazy idiots.

Perhaps I need to keep Buddy in his crate, Let J play nickjr.com and go take a nap. lol If I ignore them all, think they will go away?

Snow Way

Okie, first there was a blizzard on Monday.

Then there was the 6 inches of snow we ended up with on Wednesday.

Mother Nature apparently decided We needed snow M-W-F. So here we are at Friday.... T-minus 2 hours until the third snowfall of the week is supposed to begin. They are saying we could get another 6 inches.

I need to remember to have E charge my camera battery (or perhaps I should just waddle into his office and do it myself)so I can get some posted here.

After Monday's blizzard, we had 2-3ft drifts in out yard/driveway. Add to that another 6+ inches, and all the snow blown into the yard by the snow blower, and I'm fairly certain you could lose and entire 4 year old in the snow bank out front. lol

We'll have to try it this weekend. :-D

Did I also mention the fact, that when I turned on the news this am, the temp was -8 and it's technically still FALL??

When I called to schedule an appointment to bring my car in to be fixed (there was a small deer bumping incident a couple weeks ago), the service dude was telling me how there was clover all over the place this summer. Apparently there's some Farmers saying about having lots of clover in the summer makes for a hard winter.... I hadn't heard that before.

Hopefully by the time the baby is ready to see us all in person, we won't have to tunnel our way out of the house to get to the hospital. :-P
