I've been Tagged!

Heidi Tagged me several days ago, but between Ava being sick and it being the weekend and having to run errands yesterday, I'm just getting around to it now. I know, I know, I'm a slacker. :)


Here are the rules of the Tag:


1.Post the rules on your blog.
2.Write six random things about yourself.
3.Tag six people at the end of your post.
4. If you are tagged, JUST DO IT, and pass the tag along.


Well I'm not sure I HAVE 6 people to Tag, but I'll answer the questions, at least! :)


1.) I own and use a PedEgg and I LIKE it. There's nothing like being able to grate your old, tough feet like a block of cheddar. :)

2.) Since Heidi loves boobs, I'll talk about mine. They are HUGE HUUUUGE... they were always big, after two kids and almost non-stop nursing (there was about a 6 month break there when I was PG) for 7 years now, they are HUUUUUUUUUUGE! I am so not their biggest fan! They certainly have served thier purpose well, but when that's done they can go away. they can go all the way away for all I care, and I mean that. Being able to sit up straight will be an amazing experience for me. There are times I've wanted to just take an axe and whack them right off.

3.) I say "Bah" a lot. ;) Well I probably type it a lot more than I say it, but it's just a good word!

4.) I love Facebook. I love chatting with my friends there, I love finding all my friends I haven't seen or heard from in YEARS... even people from HS, who maybe weren't so friendly... we've all grown up and gotten over ourselves, and it's really fun to see what people look like now, and see pics of their adorable kids and just catch up with one another. There were only about 106 of us in my Senior class and half of them I wen to elem school with. In a way it's rather kool that there are people even 4 years older and younger than me, that I know from the other classes too. Not many people can say that. The hubster's class alone in his HS was over 700 kids. I just can't imagine that...

5.) I don't shower every day. well sometimes I do, but if I'm just hanging around the house, cleaning stuff and being domestic, why bother. LOL

6.) I drink soy milk, because I can. One day I just decided to try it. WHY am I drinking cows milk. I am NOT a baby cow, I don't need to put on weight. It took a little getting used to, but I like it. Now i'm going to work on replacing all my normal dairy items, with soy ones.

Some things are just timeless...

I've always LOVED this routine, but after having kids, I love it even more! :)

Scavenger Hunt- Day 4

1) Find 2 blogs that are participating in the hunt that have something in common. This could technically have hundreds of answers and you can be as creative as you want. Make sure you post on both of them. Tell us what you found and what they have in common.


I picked #'s 22 and 23 on the list. :) Firstly, they are right next to each other on the list, so that makes for something in common right there (lol), plus they are both participating in the scavenger hunt.;) They are both Momma's. They both visit 5minutesformom, and they are both a little crispy! :)


2) State a fact about me, Amy. There are many on this blog. No duplicate answers can be allowed. This should be pretty easy!

Scavenger Hunt- Day 3

1) Look at the list of participants in the hunt. Choose one that you do not read. Find something interesting about them and leave a comment. Let us know who you chose and what you found interesting. You don't need to leave the blog address, just the name listed and the number they are on the list.


I picked Jessica, #85! :) Her Bon Jovi pic drew me right in. I'm a NJ girl. I grew up there. So that got me curious. My cousin, Danielle is a HUGE Bon Jovi fan, so reading her post made me think of Damielle, and how I need to email her back! LOL


2)Find another participant that you have not read that participates in a daily meme. This is something like Monday Memories, Ten on Tuesday, Wordless Wednesday, Thursday Thirteen, Fridays Feast or Saturdays Scavenger Hunt. Find one that you find the most creative and tell us why.

Scavenger Hunt

If you haven't heard, Amy over at Amy's Random Thoughts decided to put together a blog scavenger hunt! She's offering up a few prizes, and it's a great way to find new bloggers and have some fun!

I signed up to participate and then life got in the way! LOL So prepare for an onslaught of Scavenger hunt posts from me, since I have until Sunday to catch up!

Scavenger Hunt- Day 2

She writes: Hi Cyndi- Thank you for playing! Here are your questions:


1) What inspired you to start a blog?

Uhhh, all the cool kids were doing it? LOL I've been online since May of 1990. I started off on Prodigy, moved to GEnie, went to AOL, then to various local ISP's until broadband came along. I've dialed into BBS's, participated in large and small groups, run message boards,(still do) fan sites, my own personal website...

Actually back then, the website really wasn't far off from a blog, tho that was before blogs. I would try and update it frequently and write little blurbs about the family (Just the hubster and I back then, and the pets) and post pics.

A gal from one of the message boards I was on had started a blog and a lot of us were like What the HECK is a "BLOG"? so we read hers and then decided we'd start one too. It's funny reading that one. You can still find it here. Then I went to Xanga for a while, cause the format was easier. Then the hubster decided HE needed to blog, and I needed one on our domain as well, so here I am. LOL Of course his blog is long gone now. He just didn't see the point or something.

So yeah, basically a friend had one and a bunch of us thought we needed one too, but I've always enjoyed writing and rambling on incessantly so it all worked out. :)

2) How do you balance the demands of motherhood with blogging?

Hahaha, I'm not sure I do! LOL Motherhood certianly takes precendence to the blogging. I certianly want to blog more than I seem to be able too. I try to fit it in around naptimes or early in the am, or whenever I can, really. Lots of times I think of something to write about but then life gets in the way and I never get to it.

Like, I've been meaning to mention for a couple weeks now, that I FINALLY opened my 2nd tube of toothpaste. So It's official. I use 2 tubes for every 4 the Hubster uses! LOL


3) What do you do to unwind?

I usually watch TV or a movie. By the time 7pm rolls around, I'm ready to plop on the couch and veg for a bit. Tho lately, the girls don't agree with my plan. lol

I enjoy reading too, tho I am lucky if I can sit down and read a magazine article lately. Maybe I'm just saving up all my reading time for when Harry Potter comes out. ;)


4) What is your top pet peeve?

People who expect the government to do their parenting for them. You can combine that with the FCC. Can't stand them either. All these peopl who are complaining to the FCC about this or that progamming being unacceptable for their children to watch. Uhhhh, HELLO... don't let them watch it. It's not like you only get ONE channel. No-one is forcing you to watch it. /soapbox



5) If you could go on a dream trip for two with your husband, where would you go and why?

Hummm.. well, He's always wanted to go to Austrailia, I've wanted to go to Spain. We honeymooned in the MN Northwoods. I think we'd just enjoy goign back there again. We've also talked about RV-ing around when we retire.

I like to look at the beach, but not swim in the ocean. Tropical places sound nice in theory.

It's corny sounding, but really, anywhere we got to get away for a while would be a dream vacation! LOL
